As an NYU Faculty-Fellow-in-Residence, I live in an undergraduate residence hall and have the privilege of interacting with students both inside and outside of the classroom. Whether we are sharing an off-Broadway play at the Ontological-Hysteric Theater in the East Village or taking in a dialogue on the future of fashion between André Leon Talley and Tom Ford at the Metropolitan Museum, my family and I enjoy sharing the best of New York City with our student neighbors and thus extending the academic experience, the proverbial "life of the mind," out into the city itself.
