I planned to be an English major, but after meeting with professors, taking a variety of classes, and studying abroad in Paris, I am now a Social Anthropology honors major with a minor in English. At NYU, there are so many opportunities to get involved and explore your interests---my advice is to be open and willing to experience new ideas and people. I came to New York City from Minnesota because I wanted to challenge myself. I've always been interested in children's literature, and with the incredible resources at NYU and in New York City, I have had two great editorial internships in the children's literature departments of major publishers (Random House and Farrar, Straus & Giroux).
