Although my roots lie in other countries, I have found that New York City has quenched my desire to be surrounded by the influence of people with roots from every single country. Even after just finishing my freshman year, I was able to take advantage of many things NYU had to offer. Voted Public Relations Chair in my dorm, I helped organize many student events like the FYRE (First Year Residential Experience) Olympics, Puppies Pajamas and Pancakes, U-Ball. Being involved in Hall Council enabled me to become an
active member of the NYU and NYC community. As an America Reads Tutor, I volunteered at a West Side High School, where I developed mutually beneficial relationships with the students I helped tutor.
