During high school in Portland, Maine, I got to spend a semester in New York City through an honors exchange program. By the end of that program, I knew for certain that I was going to go to college in New York City, especially since I want to be a filmmaker. NYU could not have been a better fit for me. I joined LSP Productions, a student film club that enables freshmen to share ideas with each other and to produce movies in their first year of college. My pitch for a movie was recently selected for production, and so, in my first semester of college, I was able to direct a movie! This school and this city are giving me opportunities to pursue many routes of visual storytelling.
