Since its inception in Fall 2006, the Liberal Studies Parents Circle has fostered a sense of community among the parents of Liberal Studies students. Participation in the Parents Circle gives you the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the unique Liberal Studies curriculum, to interact with faculty, and to share information and ideas with one another, as well as with Liberal Studies Dean Fred Schwarzbach.

Parents Circle receptions are held once every semester at NYU's Washington Square campus. At each reception, Dean Schwarzbach may share the latest program news and plans for the future, and invites feedback from you about your own child's experiences. All parents are encouraged to contribute to group discussion and to meet fellow parents of Liberal Studies students. The active engagement of parents has been tremendously valuable to Dean Schwarzbach and to Liberal Studies as a whole.
